I have since:
When I checked the interval beep was not set, although it had been previously. Perhaps something had happened during update of the app. I, therefore, reset the beep.
I have just completed a session on my trainer and everything is working as it should.

Wow great. Everyone on this thread try resetting your beep setting turn off beeps for now in other settings.
This helped us. Thanks so much. We found the bug. If you previously had single beep the new version caused this crash. We are fixing this now but for everyone else just changing this setting to something different than now will fix it.
Ok so your issue is different. Can you see if in our connection tab your bike shows as a smart trainer or power meter. I have a theory what it is.
Perfect, yes I bet my theory is correct. Your bike is not a smart trainer (can’t be controlled automatically) but just a power meter with cadence… So this misidentification is likely causing the issue. We have a new design to fix this but we should also be able to fix this another way. I will keep you posted.
We are starting to work on this. Did you try clicking on slope in our app?

Hi, did you change your beep sound?
I didn’t change anything. It worked fine 2 days ago.
It kept crashing on interval change (disappeared from iPad). When I reopened the app it was still running. This happened several times today until I gave up. Apps and OS are up to date
Ok you need to change your beep sound in other settings to a different value and it will fix it.
