Add support for old macbooks (Intel)

Hi,

I have an old-ysh macbook pro from 2019, which is not on Apple silicon (m1, m2, m3, etc.), but using intel processor. Unfortunately, the mobile app is not compatible with it.

How difficult would it be to add support for legacy devices? The laptop is great for watching videos and doing my trainings, so I would not call it legacy or old

Thanks!

Yeah, that’s a really hard task. It basically requires creating a new app that, with the M series, you can just run iOS apps. We would love to build a desktop version for PC and for Mac and plan to do that. But we planned and hoped to do that for years now, so it’s probably not coming right away. You can watch it on your laptop. We have a broadcast feature that lets you broadcast to a web page and view it there, but you still need a mobile phone to connect to the Bluetooth.

I see.. Okay, but still keep that in mind and maybe you could prioritize it one day.

Thanks!

Do you have up to date documentation of this? Is this only available with a paid subscrition?

It’s not up to date, but really not much has changed. Just turn on the settings in other settings in the app near the bottom. Then go to ride.trainerday.com and make sure you’re logged in.

Not available on my free version hence why I asked.
