I’m looking to increase the weekly volume in the Coach Jack plan builder, but it seems to want me to do no more than 4 days of work and 3 days of recovery. I can only fit about an hour each weekday, so unless I ride for 3+ hours on the weekend it’s impossible to make up the volume. I’d like to adjust the number of recovery days, so I can do 5 days on, 1-2 days rest/recovery.
I remember there being a “long day” checkbox that isn’t there anymore.
My FTP isn’t terribly high, and riding at less than 110W on an indoor trainer is quite uncomfortable. I’ve usually just done a shorter low zone 2 workout for the recovery days, but there isn’t an option to adjust the % of FTP. Perhaps I’m going in the entirely wrong direction here.
Thanks a lot! I think the post ended up a lot longer than I intended!
Remember you build during recovery, typically 5-days on would be less efficient than taking the recovery days after a couple of on days, that is why CJ works this way. You can make your own rules by create two plans every other day on both of them and sending both to you calendar at the same time. Let me know if this does not make sense or if I need to explain in more detail. Partial holidays right now so responding more slowly.
Thanks! I’m doing my training before work in the mornings so I’m trying to keep the training time and load light. I’m looking forward to the new AI plan builder, but its the holidays go get some rest!
