I’m a new user, and so far am getting on well - I’ve created some workouts and a plan!
My problem is with getting ANT & HRM working reliably - I know, ANT seems to be a pain for many people and developers!
Anyway, I have this setup:
- Garmin forerunner watch (in broadcast mode) (ANT only I think)
- OnePlus 6T Android 11 phone
- USB ANT dongle
Now, I also have the same hardware and run the ‘Urban Biker’ app - it’s a bike computer, and that does seem to reliably see and connect to the garmin watch.
I also have one of the ANT diagnostic apps, and that shows all ok.
With TrainerRoad, it pretty much always ;sees’ the Device, but it’s ‘Orange’ rather than ‘Green’.
I find that if I click the - and then the + a few times to remove and re-add it, then sometimes it goes Green and it works, but it’s intermittent.
Apart from buying a new HRM with bluetooth, is there anything else I can try? (I moved from TrainerRoad to save a bit of money, so the cost of a new HRM would put me back to no saving!)
-With TrainerRoad, I used the same dongle, but on my Macbook computer, and that worked flawlessly.
