Any downsides in using Zwift Cog?

I’ll keep my question simple, when only ever using ERG Mode, is there any downside to installing a Zwift Cog on my Trainer?
Would I need to check something first? I know my trainer now supports Zwift Cog (Elite Suito).

If you wanted to use our slope mode you would have no way to change gears as far as I know but for ERG mode or HR+ I see no problems.

Virtual shifting does not work in any app except Zwift that I know of. That said more “hacks” are starting to come up. Here is an example

So I assume with zwift cog you are also thinking zwift click or have a zwift bike. I need to research it as well but if it works ok, I would like to eventually support this virtual shifting as well. Zwift cog is a cool idea. Curious to hear what you think if you get it.

Thanks for the quick reply. I already have both (rather had it for 6 months and just now felt like procrastinating, by installing it) and yes, with every zwift cog comes a zwift click unit.
