- In Other settings you can change the beep sounds (quieter, off…)
- Fixed Chart issue when zoomed all the way out and coming from background
- Improved Connection Device Caching (more improvements coming soon)
It seems like the new beep feature sometimes goes out of sync, ie doesn’t match up with the timer, have the final beep not when switching block etc. Just did a workout where every interval beep started three seconds out, but the beeps didn’t come once per second but a bit faster, and the fourth beep about a half second too early. Restarted the app, now the beeps sometimes synced with the timer, snd sometimes not. Hard to recreate, but something seems amiss.
Really appreciate the updated beep though!
Do you feel that something changed recently? We never changed anything regarding beep timing but the beep timing was never perfectly aligned with our timer. The problem is different trainers actually change the exact time at which they change the resistance of the trainer so nothing is ever perfect so making the timer exactly line up with seconds on the screen was never a priority… his is more just like an early warning system that prepares you for approximately when it will change.
It’s a long and complex story as to why the timing in the technology we use is not as straight forward (not 100% millisecond accurate always) so less than perfect… But if you feel their is a big difference between one day to the next regarding the beeps and when your trainer changes…
Yes, it’s a very noticable difference in how the beeps work now I would say. It has nothing to do with the trainer, I know that can vary, but rather the “internal” sync between the timer and the beeps. It most definitely has changed in the latest build, especially since the fourth beep (which was some kind of other low sound effect previously) doesn’t match the timer in the app. Or rather, it seems to vary a bit. In previous builds it never varied.
But perhaps aligning perfectly with the timer is not as important as having the fourth beep actually aligning with the interval shift. That’s how it works in all other applications I know of. Counting down has a quite strong meaning generally,

Ok thanks for the feedback. It’s interesting that we should not have changed anything that affected this timing but we will test and I assume we will find the problem and fix it.
So I just tested and I see now the end of the beep aligns with the change in interval (visually, I never checked my Wahoo when it actually changes) So it’s possible because I changed the recorded sounds that previously their was a gap at the beginning of the 4th sound so that it aligned that the start of the sound was when the target changed.
Yes, I just verified these are not 1 second apart in the times they play the sounds.
So we will see what we can improve here.
When fixing beep sounds we did align them with the seconds and they seem very in time and now. We are also adding single beep low and mid volume in next release…
