Often when I start a workout in the app on my iPhone it tells me that my trainer (Tacx Neo 2) is connected, but the revolutions do not feel smooth, and the intensity is higher than what the program suggests. I can usually solve the problem by disconnecting the connection with the trainer and reconnecting it, but sometimes the issue reoccurs several times before it seems to settle into a smooth and accurate ride.
Once I have gone through the initial startup hiccups things can go smoothly for a while before I suddenly get unexpected sudden spikes in intensity. Often these are just for a few seconds at a time, but it interrupts the flow. Sometimes after a spike the intensity drops, but stays higher than it should according to the program.
I generally try to resolve the issue by disconnecting and reconnecting the Smart Trainer. I’m not sure if this actually does eventually solve the problem, as sometimes it takes multiple tries, or whether the issue disappears of its own will. Any suggestions?
