Hi! New user here. Like the app and am trying a month of Pro plan. Using a Kettler Tour400 ergometer bike.
I am having an issue with ERG mode. The TrainerDay app (iPhone) connects to the bike, controls the bike in Slope and Resistance mode (changing percentages changes the watts/resistance), but does not control the bike in ERG mode. Other apps do (tried Kinomap), so I know the bike is capable of it.
I deleted Kinomap and its data, re-installed TrainerDay, reconnected the bluetooth, restarted the iPhone, restarted the bike. But still no luck.
My research says that bike does not support standard FTMS ERG control. Kinomap’s specialty is they work with a million different protocols (different exercize bike models). Kinomap might do a virtual ERG to work with with your bike if only slope/resistance modes works.
You could design automatic slope workouts in trainerday that change automatically but this requires you figuring out which slopes equate to which ERG targets. Clone a workout and set slopes on each interval.
It’s an interesting idea for us to do that some day automatically but not something we can do now.
Thanks for your answer, Alex. I did find a post where you suggested a similar approach, including instructions (titled: ERG Mode does not work for Cristopeit ET 6 Pro (partial-smart trainer)) I will look into that! Thanks!
