Bluetooth and Location Services Bug (Fixed)

I have granted location permission to the TD app and every time I open the app it prompts me to grant location permission so that the app can connect to my devices. I open the phone settings and they are already on. If I press the turn-on button on the app screen it will temporarily connect but it will drop the connection during the workout (running in the background) and quit the workout. It happens every workout, even multiple times during each workout. It’s very frustrating.

I’m using a Pixel 7 running the latest update on Android 13.

Sorry about that. One other user had this problem. It’s something to do with an update to a library we are using for Bluetooth but we are unable to replicate it. I believe that re-installing our app will resolve the issue. Please let me know. I am on vacation but when I get home I will test multiple times of installing and upgrading with my Pixel 6.

I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it but it looks like the problem is still there. I hope you can get it worked out. BTW, I’m looking forward to trying out HR mode.

Ok we are going to try to roll back to previous version of our bluetooth library and hopefully that resolves it. We also had a bug in the new HR mode so we will fix that in the same time.

My tester replicated this location services issue related to Android 13 making it so we can fix it quickly.

Ok Build 3.7.6 is out and one user reported this fixed their issue which was the same as yours.

Wow, crazy fast fix! I installed the update and it looks good so far but I won’t really know until I do my workout tomorrow. Thanks, you are amazing.
