Bluetooth connection issue

Hey Alex…

I only seem to bring problems so apologies for that

Having a bit of an issue connecting bluetooth devices which I’ve not had before.
Whenever I used to open the app and select a session the Wahoo and my Polar H10 would connect and work no issues.

Lately ( think it started last week or week before that I can remember) when I open the app and go to a session I always have to go to the settings and Add Device menu when the trainer and Polar would connect no issue.

To add to that I had to pause a session mid way this evening and went upstairs, at which point must have been out of range of the phone and my Polar disconnected and would not reconnect to the app…

I didn’t want to quit the session midway so continued. I know the Polar was working as the Wahoo Headwind was working no issue.
The app was showing 2 devices connected but only one listed like it had lost the Polar.

Anyway, finished the session and then quit out of the app, re-opened it and went again to Add Device and it was there listed.

Not sure whats going on as the phone (iPhone SE) could see and connect to the polar from the bluetooth menu outside of Trainer Day but it never appeared in the app even then. Only closing and re-opening cured it.

Any thoughts?
Running the below:

Apple iPhone SE
Trainerday App version 5.1.9
iOS vers. 18.3.1

Cheers
James

We did make some changes in connections recently that might have caused this. You can always just click on the number of devices at the top if you lose a connection and it will show the connections popup and force a rescan. With our new connection manager we will prioritize improving the auto-reconnect process.

Hey Alex… yeah I tried to do that to reconnect the Polar but it wouldn’t let me. Had to close out the app and connect again on opening…

I don’t normally interrupt sessions so it’s not a massive deal just thought I’d let you know…

Ok yes we saw some issues like this too. We will fix this soon.
