Cannot connect via ANT+

Hi there!

First of all, thanks for the huge app training schedules you all created.

Anyway, I am trying to connect my ant+ powermeter to the app and I can’t. I tried by several ways. My phone hasn’t got built in Ant+, but I tried with dongle etc, and the Ant Tester says everything fine except ANT HAL service. Ok…

I also tried on my sons mobile, wich has built in ANT+. There, the tester says everything is fine… but when I go to trainerroad app and try to find devices, it only finds for bluetooth (maybe I am missing something at this point)…

I also tried to install a virtual machine on the PC, and same ANT HAL missing…

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.

PS: sorry for my bad English, I am not english native

You’re welcome and your English is great

Very strange. We have many Ant+ users. We also got it working with Ant+ dongle and if I remember correctly it also said Hal is not working correctly but it still worked. But my tester did have to do a bunch of googling to figure out how to make the external adapter to work. What versions of Android do you have on both phones?

Hi,

My sons mobile is a Samsung a40, android 11.

Mine is a xiaomi mi 9 lite, miui versión 12 and android 10.

Anyway, just to check… The procedure to set up an ant+ device should be like:

  • connect dongle if needs
  • open trainerday
  • go to setup or options (I have it in Spanish)
  • add devices

And it should start finding bt and ant+ devices, shouldn’t it?

About trainerday app, it is directly downloaded from play store, version 3.2.5

At the moment, I am trying with the non premium user, has anything to do with?

Thanks for you help

Free version is fine. I would reinstall out app. Make sure you allow location services. You process sounds fine. If this does not work you could try working with my developer if you want.

Lets try reinstalling and let you know
