Hey!
A few (small) bugs I’ve noticed in coach jacks edit screen (/plan/edit). I thought i’d raise them just so you’re aware but they’re quite minor.
Weekly hours slider
The weekly hours slider isn’t functional on Firefox v150.0 (they are on safari)
Steps to repro:
- Click on block hours
- Attempt to drag handles
Expected: Be able to drag handles around
Actual: No interaction
Note: This only seems to affect the hours, the intensity slider works on both browsers.
Ride feel checkboxes
On the ride feel modal, tapping on “main workout intensity at the end” toggles the “slope mode” checkbox, it can only be changed by tapping on the checkbox slider itself. Not end of the world just thought i should mention.
Steps to repro:
- Click on initial intensity level to open ride feel modal
- Select “mostly easy, zone 2”
- Tap on the label “Main workout intensity at the end”
Expected: Toggle the checkbox adjacent to the label
Actual: Toggles the checkbox above
(Unconfirmed) Completed workout disappears after edit.
I did notice a workout disappeared after I edited my plan on the same day (but after I had completed) the workout. It’s not a big deal but I thought that was a bit strange. I’m not sure on the exact steps to repro but heres the scenario:
I moved my weekend ride from saturday to sunday.
After completing my workout and seeing it on trainerday I edited my coach jack plan.
The workout i had just done was no longer on the calendar. The activity was still there but no reference to the workout.
I found these bugs after looking to reduce my overall work as my TSB and progress indicators suggest I’m over training. I’m finding the workouts themselves fine but I’d like to dial things back a bit so these markers are in a healthy sustainable range.
I was a bit confused by the two checkboxes at the bottom of ride feel around slope mode and main workout intensity and why they are enabled by default. I use ERG on my trainer and HR outside so I guess I should uncheck these but I wasn’t sure.
If I dial back the intensity and ride feel radios the TSS doesn’t change that much. I went from 5 + “I could do more” to 1 + “zone 2” and this weeks went from 274 to 269. I’m inexperienced so I could be misreading but it sounds like it wouldn’t produce a reduction in training stress that I’m looking for.
Adjusting block hours does seem to have a dramatic impact on TSS so I guess that should be the lever I reach for.
A helpful feature for us newbies is an indicator on the edit screen of how the plan fits in with our current stress balance, giving us a warning if it senses over commitment.
Sorry this is a bug report / feedback message rolled into one, I’m genuinely really enjoying trainerday and for what its worth everything generally works great I just wanted to contribute back with some bug reports and general newbie perspective.
Thanks and have a great day.
