Did the HR+ PID Tuning Change?

For my last couple of training rides in November using HR+ I have noticed the HR tends to drift up and down. I looked back to an identical ride from October

and this oscillation was not there; HR stayed very steady.

My question is has the control algorithm changed recently as I can’t think of anything that has changed on my setup that might cause this. Any suggestions on how to get back to a rock-steady HR for the session ?

We were working on a bug fix and simplified the code causing this greater deviation. We will have a new version this week that is better than ever. Thanks for pointing this out. @BlackTek had mentioned this to me but seeing the visuals really makes the problem clear.

@302ttt @Alex
tested the latest version this evening and it worked perfectly as expected.

Here below the HR from a workout with target HR=135 bpm (the gray line) - duration 1h

well done @Alex !

I guess you mean 139. Thanks

no, 135 in red is the gray line plotted by intervals.icu; 139 is max HR (not super clear, I agree)

avg hr in the 12 x 5 minute intervals I splitted the 1h workout:

133
133
134
132
133
133
132
134
132
133
133

As said target was 135. Compared to last week there was no big deviation from target (last week I saw some minimums at 128/129 bpm, with power going down also with HR far from target).
