Elite TUO not working

Did anybody ever get the ELITE TUO to work ?

What happened:

  • I warmed the trainer up for 15 minute before the first use (as indicated).
  • I adjust the wheel (as indicated)
  • I then calibrate the thing with the ELITE app. After some struggles it works.
  • Then I go back into Trainerday and it’s not working anymore. I get it to start up, it looses power whatever mode I’m trying to around 80w. HR mode stays around 80w, ERG, even if I put it at 200w, it sometimes goes up but it goes down immediately.

Funny enough, BEFORE calibrating, it looks like it was working, with a power reading that was too high (but that looked logic to me, since it was not calibrated):

I’m pretty sure this is this rubbish trainer. There’s a long story to it, I don’t understand how a company is allowed to sell something like this.

that’s really strange behavior. Have you killed elite app that you’ve used to calibrate trainer prior to TD workout?

I did… I honestly dumped the TUO. I bought something else. It’s a bad purchase of a non working product. My first TUO never worked. Support of Elite was “out of ideas” and send me a new one. Which I honestly left for about 2 years because I didn’t need it. I now tried this “new version”, and exactly the same non working product. Sometimes in life you buy bad products. It’s sad, but I’m not going to spend any more time on it. Elite is never going to sell anytning to me anymore and I’ll make sure as many people as possible know it’s a non reliable brand…

While Elite was nice to me and gave me good service, we have more trouble with Elite products than any other brand.

To be precise : the attempt to support was top. They really tried to help, I got several conversations with several engineers. I just believe the product quality is simply bad… Good products with bad support is a bad thing. Bad products with good support is a bad thing as well… Anyway, ordered a WAHOO instead now.
