Could I get a bit of help with creating HR based outdoor sessions.
Because I dont have a power meter on the MTB I need to be able to create a HR target session.
Basically I need to do a HR equivalent to 255w for 15mins 30mins into the ride.
Then 16mins towards the end of the ride of 2min max 2min recovery repeated.
What’s the best way of creating it? I need to send it to the Wahoo head unit which Ive tested.
I did try to create something but Im not sure its correct. Def doesn’t look right.
Hi James, I should test this out. I’ve got a Roam. but I use the Garmin. I think there’s somebody on this forum somewhere, or either they sent me an email, but somebody did a lot of extensive testing and research, and they said that HR intervals in Wahoo just don’t work. This was about a year ago. Maybe things have improved. I don’t believe you can send from TrainerDay directly to Wahoo. And if it says it does, that’s kind of a bug because it shouldn’t allow you. What you should try to do is send from trainer day to free version of training peaks and have training peaks sync to your wahoo and see if that works. If I can get time, I will try to test this as well. And maybe we can add HR mode or work on the HR mode if it actually will work. Seems like it shouldn’t be too hard for me to add that.
I just removed that Wahoo send HR for now. So now it’s no longer in our site. You’re right. It’s, it was there. It shouldn’t have been. Meaning it wasn’t working. Yes, convert to HR or just click send to and send the HR version to TrainingPeaks and then see if it works on your Wahoo and let me know, please. But if you use our calendar sync feature, then like you said, you can just convert it to HR in the calendar.
