So major updates are risky because there are thousands of possible issues. Especially when the affect the thousands of different device combinations out there. It’s very hard to test them all but our test suit is getting better and better.
Anyway, I just did the final one which was completely re-write how bluetooth connections work from our 6-year old, we thought we knew what we were doing to the current state of we know a lot more than 6-years ago state 
. Recent changes in how companies are creating firmware in regards to AppleTV support has pushed us to move faster. This is done and I believe the fix today should fix 99%+ of any issues and for sure resolved some issues we had.
Most app updates now should be safe and cosmetic or minor features rather than major technology / legacy updates.
