NEW - The Largest Event & Run/Ride Race Database in the World :)

So with my limited ability to speak Polish it was always a struggle looking for potential events I might be interested in. In talking with different friends it seems like globally finding races or events is mostly a matter of google unless you are lucky with a good local solution. So TrainerDay / we are attempting to solve this problem.

This will extend into more event specific training plans this year. Events can be motivational for many people, even if like myself, the goal ends up finishing rather than winning…

This is very early access at this point and will go through additional cleaning, augmentation and optimization. As always I love to hear feedback both good and bad.

35,000 Events in 2026 in the US alone…. 83k in the current supported list of countries.

That is pretty cool, however some runs are really TT bikes.

I have found there isn’t one place to look for events, this could solve that problem.

Exactly. And yes, when you collect 75,000 events getting all the category’s dates and everything process is difficult. We will keep cleaning, and cleaning and optimizing quality. But right now you can quickly browse and find ideas if if the data is not perfect. I wanted to launch early to make sure other people saw the need for this product.

I have had a couple requests so far

  1. Add prices and price filter
  2. View registration open dates and add a reminder feature

My guess there is more ways of searching that are more intuitive to how other people search. I personally think in terms of location, date and sport but if someone wanted to search “TT” in UK for example.

If it seems enough people are interested in this I will add local club/group rides as much as possible. I already have a lot but hid a lot of them as it’s harder to understand how they work.

Ok I realized some how I was missing a lot of running events in England for this year so just found about 6k more.

So if you notice you can actually “edit” events. I am taking more the wikipedia style approach to this content. But will make sure and validate each edit before publishing. I did not allow changing sports and disciplines (road, gravel…) yet.

So Ahotu is not really a competitor as they are trying to sell events with travel. They were the biggest known database of run/ride events until we came. We are adding events to support and inspire local and research for training purposes. We care more about local than travel, so depth. But since we are 4X bigger than the biggest it’s easy to say we are the biggest

Just looking locally, there seems to be a lot of confusing details. Being familiar with the local scene, a lot of the events listed seem to be weekly group rides and not races or events. One of the “races”-is actually a weekly group ride, combines the details of 3 different local races into one in its description and the geography is all over the place between the two major cities in my area.

Definitely not complaining about this at all. I think it’s a great feature and as you said there are a lot of refinements coming as you work on this. Really looking forward to the development of this, as in a few years I could use it to plan a trip to Europe and be confident in the knowledge gathered from this feature to do a few local events over there, or anywhere in the world.

Not sure where you are pulling the info from. Locally in the US I’ve been using an app called “Race Ready” for IOS. It seems pretty accurate but limited to just the event title and dates. While it looks like other features are available, like being able to register, I don’t think those are live/functional.

Thanks for the feedback. I will filter out all this weekly stuff until I can get it clean and optionally allow people to view it independently.

We are doing some very advanced scraping to get this data and trying to cross reference it and clean it. Being able to register is available if we can clearly find the registration URL but in many cases can’t seem to find the source registration URL yet. I will check out Race Ready, thanks for the tip.

I just tried race ready but it gives errors saying it could not find my state.

 Not sure it’s available in Poland. Without digging I’d assume it’s US based. So maybe just scrub it for US events

I like the filter option to keep the weekly/group ride events. Would be nice to use when traveling to a different part of a country to avoid having to stop in a local shop and find out about local group rides.

Actually, it doesn’t even let me log in. It just gives errors. So it won’t work in Poland at all. Maybe I could set up some VPN and pretend I’m in U.S.

Would an Audax count as ride worthy of inclusion?

There is data for UK audax events Calendar Events | Audax UK - The Long Distance Cyclists' Association

I suspect other national audax associations have something similar.

Oh, I love that. I didn’t even know such a thing existed. For sure that counts. I will add them as soon as I can. I’ll search globally and see if I can find more of them.
