I must have updated the app this past weekend and I’m now running version 9.8.8. It took a very long time to connect to the trainer and then behaved very erratically. For a while I had the percent at 130% and it still wouldn’t provide enough resistance.
Oh this is painful… Your device seems to use the same as wahoo original and I am trying to fix wahoo original and causing yours problems. Sorry to put you through this again. I will look into it.
Having a similar issue with a Wahoo Kickr v6 on the 9.8.8 app version on Android (Samsung S25). ERG mode does not seem to be accurate.
Ok we will do more deep testing. Sorry to hear.
My tester actually said he saw similar issues to this and it just required restarting the phone and his trainer and it went away… This stuff is so strange… we will keep testing today.
Ok I have a fix. We can’t reproduce this reliably as our trainers just work. But fairly certain this fix will fix it. Coming later today most likely.
Ok now I really found it and made may Wahoo V1 emulator match closer to how actual old wahoos and (cyclops) trainers work… this should reduce the chances of this ever happening. As I mentioned in other thread, this was the last BLE re-write we plan and was just poorly designed 6 years ago because we did not know what we are doing. Now the only problem is having good emulators and devices for testing all the different variants of how this works.
Worked perfectly this morning.
Interesting. I wonder if some kind of device restart fixed it? Or just random? I haven’t released my new fix, so it’s possible that you got a previous version that was bad, and you didn’t have the latest version yesterday. Hard to say. Anyway, I’ve got an improved version coming. I really have faith in this one, but since it’s working for you…
