In QUICK START, I get the following error with an offer of Test Mode. I have tried to pedal for a minute to wake up the cadence sensor before hitting start. A few times by hitting stop before hitting start, it would then work but sometimes I have to force quit the IOS app and try again.
Ride Now in Workouts works but the “20 minute warmup” Workout has disappeared once again. I have not tried Free Ride under Workouts.
We show how many devices are connected at the top of the screen. So you should see if your cadence sensor is connected or not.
If it’s not, you can always click on that little number at the top of the screen and open the Connections tab. If it’s not connected, disconnecting and reconnecting might help. You shouldn’t need to restart our application, but it sounds like your cadence sensor is not working very well.
Sorry about the 20-minute workout. I had to remove it, it would cause some other people some problems. I thought that was a really easy fix. I think you’ll just have to set a timer. Sorry.
The sensor goes to sleep after a timeout when it stops moving to save battery power. That was never a problem with “warmup” and with “Free Ride” under workouts. It is just problematic under QUICK START.
I guess I’ll just have to live with it. Beggars can’t be choosers.
Strange, Quick start is exactly the same as Free Ride or should be… meaning it’s the same workout and should not affect sensor connectivity. I guess you can start free ride under workouts as a solution.
None the less, “Ride Now” works every time so something different may be happening in the background, but if I hit the start triangle while the BT symbol is as follows, I get the Test Mode prompt immediately.
When I wake up the cadence sensor by pedaling, if it starts to show numbers, all is well. If it does not, no amount of pedaling helps.
This is a busy screen hat shows more than I have support for (HR, % of FTP) so I wonder if rather than show bolded zeros for which there is no value to report, could it not leave it blank or at least grey it out?
Also I wonder if the cadence RPM were to drop too low if it could change color to draw attention to it?
