Outliers in Cadence and power recorded using Kickr Core

I’ve got a Kickr Core, and use a dedicated bluetooth cadence sensor (magnet on cranks rotate past the sensor on the chain stay).

App version is 3.8.8 on a Nokia phone with Android 12.

I’ve only just completed a couple of workouts, but each time I’m getting huge spikes in the cadence (and sometimes power)

For example, if I download the tcx file I can see at one time trackpoint my cadence is 84, and the very next my cadence is 28371! It drops back to 84 on the very next point.

Wow. Sounds like your sensor is reporting some strange stuff (no one has ever reported this problem), but my guess is other apps are good at filtering out this bad data. Being older and more mature they learned to get good at removing bad data. We should do that too in this case. My developer is very deep in some other projects so it might not happen very soon.

Thanks, I’ll try to adjust the distance between the sensor and magnet and see if it makes any difference. You’re probably correct, I’ve had this sensor for years and never experienced this kind of anomaly.
