Please add direct sync completed activities to intervals.icu

Trainerday doesn’t upload completed workout to intervals.icu. I realised that my previous Trainerday workouts was synced via Strava, but not directly. Now I have disabled uploads from Strava. Is this a bug or is it intended?

It was never implemented, but we need to do it. What you can do instead is go through Dropbox.

Yes please!

my workflow:

Download the fit file → import into intervals.icu

Why not use Dropbox? It’s free. It’s easy. Then it’s automated.

I am one of the people that uses dropbox to sync TD to intervals.

It just works.

The only thing I am expecting to have to do is to clear out some of the older files from dropbox from time to time.

Not using/not a big fan of Dropbox.

But that’s just personal preference

Why use 3rd-party workaround (Dropbox) if direct integration is possible?

It will be much more reliable and won’t depend on Dropbox providing free service in the future.

Our main focus here is keeping cost down so that we can keep our prices down. So if there’s good alternative ways for people to do things, we attempt to not build extra functionality, especially unless there’s a lot of people that are requesting this. But this one is confusing enough. And I get people asking semi-regularly enough that we will try to get it prioritized.

Dropbox or Strava works for most users, and a desire for direct Intervals is only a small subset of people that want it, although I realize it’s nice or better.

I should also say I don’t like using Strava or Dropbox either, so really I completely understand. I kind of have a love-hate relationship with both of these platforms.

Ok, will do this way for now, thank you!

I perfectly understand this, but I think Intervals is the easiest tool for you to integrate with and can provide great value for users - as the next step in training analysis

If you are on iOS you can also use RunGap to sync to a bunch of different platforms. It’s not free, but it’s well worth the small cost per year.

Except 98-99% can do it now. Only the dropbox/strava haters can’t.
