Problems with changing slope mode from ERG mode (Wahoo Kickr V5)

During the interval, when proceeding to ERG mode and changing to slope mode, slope mode is not operated

What trainer do you have? Does it say slope but not do slope?

Ok, I found what is the problem. Fix is coming. Probably tomorrow.

Same problem, using a Wahoo Kickr Core. I tried toggling between erg and slope, updating the app, reinstalling the app. Same problem running TrainerDay from an ipad and an iphone. It absolutely would not let me use slope mode! Hope the fix works

Ok sorry. Yes I have done a lot of deep testing and confident it is fixed but I don’t have a kickr core just a kickr so never can be 100% sure. Fix will be tested tomorrow morning and released if there are no new issues found.

Ok fix is released. Should solve the problem.

I had the same problem today on an iPad with a Wahoo Kickr Core. Erg mode whatever I did in terms of toggling back and forth with slope mode.

I did my workout on a Mac desktop app instead, that worked perfectly. Any advice?

Ok that’s a good clue on desktop working and ipad app not. Let me see if I can dig in farther and get any clues first and will let you know after that.

Many thanks, I’ll just use the desktop app in the meantime so I have a workaround.

Slope mode is not working yet. I’m using Wahoo Kicker 5th generation. I’m using it on mobile.

Ok sorry I have been buried with this other stuff. I have a V5 but can’t find the power supply so just ordered one. I will try to get this resolved asap.

If you wanted to go here, connect. Pedal for 5 seconds and switch from ERG to slope and then download the report and send it to support@trainerday.com I could move a bit faster. But I did order power supply so should be able to verify myself. I likely have older firmware so it could be a new firmware issue. No one else has mentioned this issue and Wahoo uses standard FTMS now so it should work. I did find one small thing that could make a difference but the above report should help.

Just want to chime in and say that slope mode doesn’t work for me as well. I have a Kickr v6 and use the mobile app. The last time slope mode worked for me was 21-Apr. I then had a 10-day break and on my next workout, 2-May, slope mode didn’t work. I believe I had mobile version 9.9.1 (?) on 2-May, then updated to 9.9.4, then to 9.9.6. Still not working. FWIW.

I got a V5 power adapter so seeing if I can figure out this slope mode problem. I am testing with my hands and it’s not so easy to test. Need to find wheel through adapter as the bike I usually use for this is not here now. Hopefully I can do it by hand

I can’t clearly tell from my trainer by hand whether it’s working or not. I’m pretty sure I fixed it, but I’m too nervous to launch the code because I’m going on a small vacation for early next week. Sadly, I have to do this towards the end of next week.

This morning I saw that my TrainerDay mobile app had updated itself to 9.9.7. For my workout this morning, slope mode was working fine.

Oh this is great news. Thanks for confirmation. So I guess my next deep dive after this in resolving the issue was un-needed. I see now I really need to get a bike hooked up to my V5 for testing too. Hopefully after my MTB/biking kids/mini-vacation I can do this, if I am still alive after the downhill courses with them…
