I use slope mode alot and one feature that would be nice is for TrainerDay to record the slope that was actually ridden if the offset is changed during a session. For ERG mode this is not a problem as the power that you set using the equivalent tool would be the power that you ride at (due to the way that ERG mode works) and should therefore show in the data.
For slope mode I don’t think there is any record maintained, apart from looking at the offset at the end of the ride and then making a note, this assumes that I only modified the offset once during the session but I would still need to manually record at what point in the session did I change it.
My main use case for this is when I am modifying or creating a workout and trying to set the right cadence/power. I wouldn’t need it within the ride data in the FIT or TCX file, it would be fine if it was recorded separately and even then it could just be a simple file/table with the time the change occurred and the slope value (or offset) that was set.
