It would be nice that the “send to” button reminds the last choices. I always send to TrainingPeaks, but first option is always Garmin.
When we open a workout it opens a sort of popup that can be closed only tapping on the X icon on the top right corner. It’s quite annoying that we can’t close it with the Back button.
I don’t have this virtual back button… But I am mostly IOS user but don’t have it on my Pixel either and I don’t think I see it on my samsung either. This is only for some manufactures I think and also something that can be turned off I believe or is off by default. For sure not an Apple thing.
Since 50% of our users are Apple and 25% probably don’t see it (meaning I just checked and neither of my Android phones show it). Doing something rather small for a relatively small inconvenience and 25% of our users makes less sense We have a million things that are very important to most users to do.
perhaps on your phone you can do other gestures to “go back” to the previous page. It’s very strange. Samsung Galaxy phones are the mostly sold android phones.
It’s also very easy to implement.
In my company we also developed an app and in the beginning the virtual back button was not working properly and we received lot of complaints. I can’t figure out why those virtual buttons are not visible on your android phones.
I’m suggesting this because the back button is basically close to the thumb that you also use to keep your phone in the hands. It’s the fastest way to close a window and go back. Tapping on the “X” requires to change the position of the phone in the hands and it’s a little bit less pleasant experience.
Anyway, my 2 cents. I’m trying to give suggestions based on my experience in building user interfaces
Sure, we have hundreds if not thousands of “small” things but we are a small team so even small things need to be prioritized based on the number of users affected and how big of problem or how valuable a feature it is. Usually if there is another way to do something that is not too inconvienient we lower it. We could spend our whole time just doing small things and never do anything big… But on the flip side one of our highest goals is improving UX but again we have huge amount of work to do, especially related to the new user experience.
