Slope mode delay on Kickr Core

Hi Alex,

Thanks as always for your great app.

Can I check if there has been a recent change to the behaviour of slope mode? I have noticed recently that there is a much longer latency for the slope to fully ‘engage’ when switching automatically based on the interval type in the workout. It seemed to be taking about 10 seconds to ramp up in my last interval session (very noticeable when doing 60sec VO2 reps  ).

Trainer is Kickr Core on the latest firmware from April.
App version is 4.10.7 on iOS (latest as of this writing). I see there have been a couple of updates recently with “Fixes and optimizations” - more clarity in these would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi we will test this. We used to send the change command 2 seconds early and a bug caused it to be “on time” which means in next version it will be back to 2-seconds early which gets most trainers on time. I will see if we can replicate your delay on my kickr v5

Thanks Alex! I’ll post here again if the issue continues with the next version.

I am experiencing the same issue. Also with a Kickr Core. It takes over 5 seconds before the slope resistence is where it should be. 1 or 2 would be fine when doing 30/30 sec intervals. Is there any setting to check? The workout is a set of 10 with 30 seconds slope 7% and 30 seconds of 45% resistence.

I always design slope workouts that change slope before the start of the effort.

For sure wahoo are slow compared to tacx neo and its possible core is slower than v5. Is ERG faster than slope changes?
