Slope mode not working while doing workouts in Garmin connect

Hello everyone.

I’m a first time poster, longtime lurker.

Recently I began creating workouts on the site with the web tool. Specifically I’m trying to create SFR Workouts using slope mode.

Usually I use the calendar Sync function to push workouts to my Garmin Edge 1050 and than use It to pilot my smart trainer (Elite Suito) unfortunately It seems that slope mode Is not working this way, and that the Edge Is Simply piloting the wattage on the Suito, rather than slope. If I do the dame workout with the app, It seems that everything Is fine. Has anybody experienced similar issues? Is It something to check on the creator tool?

Welcome, Garmin does not support automatic slope targets, you would need to use our training app.

Thank you.

So in this scenario I’d create my workout with the tool and then simply use the app to pilot my Suito. This way though completed activities won’t show up in Garmin Connect and Intervals.icu, right? Is there a way to work around this issues?

Kind regards

Our desktop app has built in support for TD>Garmin for activities but you can search our forums here there are a lot of soultions for getting it to sync. One is use our app for control and garmin you record only as power meter not as a trainer.

Thanks. I did a couple of experiments with dual recording and everythings seems to be working just fine. I only had to tinker a bit with the wheel size for the Speed/Cadence sensor (Suito’s own) and now it seems to be perfectly fine. I’ll then have to decide which of the two activities goes to Intervals/Strava. Thanks again!
