I don’t know whether it’s a bug or not, but when using the slope mode (I import my custom workouts from intervals icu) I have the feeling it tries to adjust the slope to match the interval power. It’s not direct like erg, but after like 30 seconds if I’m over the prescribed watts it lowers the resistance, and vice versa. Also when I decrease or increase the slope by 0.1%, it either drops a lot or ups a lot the resistance. Overall I have the feeling it doesn’t behave like it should.
Import from intervals and slope mode? This is not possible. You need to explain more. Make sure and click slope in our app not ERG if you want slope mode. Sharing screenshots or what your workout looks like in our editor or something could help.
The workouts are standard at a fixed %ftp for each intervals. They seem to have no problem and normal erg works very well. But the issue arises when I click the slope mode like you say. Again it’s not like it doesn’t work but just seems to not be always at a constant resistance for a given slope. And what I find most strange is for example when I decrease the slope by 0.1%, it drops the resistance by like 10%. I hope this makes things more clear. Do you want me to post a screenshot of a workout from intervals icu ?
You could post workout from ICU (screenshot is fine, or text from edit mode). Are you using the WOD feature so your Intervals calendar workouts are in our app, or export import? If it shows slope in our app and you don’t see a slope target then our app should not be doing anything to your resistance other than when you click on it. If you have very big gears on your bike small slope could make bigger difference. You could try resistance mode in our settings too to see if that helps at all instead of slope mode.
Ok yes that is a standard ERG workout. Can you show me a screenshot or even better a video of what our app looks like when you press slope and up/down at the bottom. With this workout our app does not send anything in slope mode unless you press up down arrows at the bottom.
When you say huge difference how many watts do you mean? What gears are you in on bike? Resistance and slope are basically the same thing. No .1 is .1 what trainer are you using?
I think I got what it is. The trainer adjusts the slope resistance by increments (to mimic acceleration behavior and so on), so yesterday when doing SS they were subtle, but when you’re doing VO2max and fatigued they can be perceived as much harder.
