[Solved] - Elite Direto ERG & Garmin HR not working

I have an Elite Direto Interactive Trainer that is not being controlled by TrainerDay in ERG mode. I am running it off a MacPro M1 running Sonama 14.4 OS and I can see the watts, RPM, and the workout time all OK. But when I put TrainerDay in ERG mode, it still remains in slope mode. The Directo is using Bluetooth and the firmware is current per Elite’s upgrade app. Also, TrainerDay does not pick up/connect to my Garmin HR strap. I have a Garmin ANT+ dongle for it and the HR strap works with 2 competitor’s apps as well as on an older laptop, so I am guessing it is something in TrainerDay that is broken. I have searched the forums and it seems Elite is difficult to work with, but I am willing to assist TrainerDay in any way I can to get this resolved. Thanks.

Have you tried using TrainerDay.app on your phone? Does he behave similarly?

We don’t support Ant+ on Apple devices. I agree with Conti, first test a phone if you can.

I tried and used my phone (Apple SE iPhone). And no HR. I also noticed that the Garmin HR strap has the Ant+ symbol on it, so I am guessing there is no way to get the HR data into the TrainerDay workout. Tomorrow I will try to use my phone and see If at least the ERG mode is working. Everyone’s assistance is certainly appreciated !

The Garmin HRM has Bluetooth connectivity. I use its ability to support two devices at the same time: app or EDGE 1040 and Elite Aria.
