ERG mode on Android and iOS does not work with Saris.
This problem res recurrence.
New one is coming today that might fix it, but I am ready to die… this is insane, fix 2 issue create a new one. Let me know which saris please.
The trainer is H2, but… I don’t know what to say, just please somehow manage to stay alive.
Yes Saris seem very temperamental to small changes, so fixing another device causes Saris issues. I really want to stop changing this and each release think this one small change and it will be done. We are so close, but I realize it’s terrible before a training session.
One of the problems might be related to the sampling rate, I guess.
Looking at the power graph, it seems that even when the ERG is functioning correctly, there is hunting occurring in the load adjustment feedback, according to Saris.
Maybe, part of the problem is they implemented the original Wahoo protocol. In this protocol if 2 requests are sent within 2 seconds the second one will be blocked. So setup notifications, request control, start, and set target power all happen at the beginning of a workout. We do our best to respect this but there are a lot of things happen that make this not so easy even though it sounds easy. Not owning one of these devices makes it significantly harder. I am looking for a cheap used one.
Today, the problem moved a little closer to being resolved.
When I moved to the next interval block, the load change was not reflected on the trainer. However, after disconnecting and reconnecting the device, the load set in the app was reflected on the trainer.
I managed to get through today’s training by repeating that process.

Interesting, you could try just pressing up/down at the bottom and let me know. This is for sure a timing issue
I have already tried pressing up/down, but unfortunately, that did not solve the problem.
I’ve noticed something: it seems this problem has been occurring since you released the update that improved connectivity a few months ago.
