Since today when im trying to select my forerunner as HR source under bluetooth devices. It stays orange and is not being actively taken up in the app.
During my last workout, also in the new bluetooth menu this was not an issue. Already tried removing and adding it, turning on off, closing app etc. Not seem to be working. Im also on the latest version
Yesterday I udated the app and tried to add my forerunner again as hr source. But its not working yet, I do get a refresh button, but it stays orange and can’t add it:
Yes the difference is how we display it now, if it’s not transmitting HR then we are not showing it as paired, maybe we need to change that. But for now if you are not broadcasting and transmitting HR it will not show connected and once you start broadcasting it should automatically connect. Todays update might help with this. If you are on Android and still not working re-install our app.
Its still not resolved.
I cleared cache & data off app, tried again and not working.
Then like you suggested removed app and reinstalled, still not working. It is seeing my garmin broadcast, but when I add it, it just turns orange after a while and does nothing.
I have two Forerunner 655s and they both connect instantly. What version of android do you have and what phone/device? And you could try three more experiments.
Unpair your watch from your phone and go to our app and try to connect.
Turn on and off bluetooth and restart your phone/tablet
Check all the settings in your play/setttings/apps/trainerday. Mine look like below
But in general this should not affect one device but not the other. One person sa
I have added the physical activity as permission to the app as it wasn’t there. But still not working. Tried the unpairing , paired again through the garmin app completely. But still not working.
I’ve been using the garmin broadcast already for 2 years in trainerday, so find it strange its suddenly not working anymore. I don’t suspect it has to do with my garmin Forerunner 955 or phone (Samsung s24+ , android version 15, one UI version 7.0) as nothing changed there.
No we made changes. Something we did. Really strange you have 955. I can’t understand. I did do more HR connection improvements in the next version. Might help.
Physical activity just helps if you put app in the background.
I will see if I can try with samsung but I have old ones.
I can’t find the Samsung phone I have (it’s probably old Android not sure if I can update it). And my samsung tablet is A12 and it works. Even charged up my other Forerunner 955… (don’t ask why I have 2)
My tester will stop by here but he has a newer Samsung phone with A15 or 16 and will take one of these for testing but might be a week before he can get here.
Both connect no problem. Our experience and AI seems to think pixels are worse with BLE connections than samsung. For sure Android is worse than IOS.
Sure! Wanted to check in if there is possibly already a solution found for this? And maybe I can remove the solved in this thread for now? As I yesterday again tried and not working still.
