I’ll test this ERG switching, but if you switch to ERG and keep it there for 30 seconds, it should just continue from where you left off.
Okay, we tested it more. We think we understand. I think I just had a failed idea of following what some others wanted. I think I just have to revert to 40%. Either that or I have to make a custom setting that people can start where they want. But the next release, I’ll just go back to 40%. Sorry about that. It should work fine. You just have to wait a little bit longer for this warm-up. It’s also weird that if you start an ERG and go to HR, it starts at that higher value (like you did) and then drops quickly. It’s kind of a weird experience.
Okay, just reverted back to the old 40% rule, and new version should be this week. after it goes back we’ll consider whether we want to do a user setting or if there’s a better solution.
edit: Funny, I just fixed that back and wrote this message, checked my email and saw somebody said they love the new lower value. I can’t win. I think I need to change it to a setting.
A setting is usually the best option
Although too many settings and then nobody reads any of them. They just get overwhelmed. So it’s best to automate everything you possibly can and just give the user what they want, if possible.
It worked as “normal” today.
I hope there is a good way to address every user’s use case for HR+, it is a magnificent TrainerDay function
Yeah, I’m just gonna do a user setting. It will come soon. Strange it worked normal, it should’nt
meaning it should start at a lower value but if you started with an ERG segment then it should work normal.
Straight into HR+ with 128 bpm target. Ramp up rate was same as the last “normal” ride (26 Feb). It was just the 27th that was an outlier for me (I didn’t try it on 28th)
