I don’t have a power meter on my bike, so I’ve been attempting to use the Convert to HR and sending to my computer via TrainingPeaks. When I do this, the heartrates are way too low for the exected zones, meaning following the workouts is rather pointless. If I adjust the HR zone bands in TD to realistic HR zones, then the when I convert the workout the HRs still don’t correspond to the expected zones.
Please help, as this is driving me crazy and putting off an otherwise great training app!
Hi, you can set your own conversion values in our profile settings but we send zones to TP so you have to make sure you zones are right in TP also. I will send more info soon when i am at the computer.
See below, this allows you to totally customize this. This is the generic values below but some individuals have a different ratio of power to HR. If you send me what you are seeing in our app and what you are seeing in TrainingPeaks, and why you think it is wrong I can help more. Generally Intensity level #1 in coach jack starts out easy, and we recommend progressing from easy to moderate unless a person love hard. Then crank up the initial intensity value.
So now it seems you have the HR converter set wrong. See below this should be HR %, not actual HR values. If you set it close to mine it should give you, your correct workout.
Oh yes, I also think it is more common for sites to have HR values, so the combination would lead it to using HR values not %. We should at the minimum do this.
