[SOLVED] - No Watts (WAHOO, and a few other devices on IOS)

Connected from iPhone 15 Pro via Bluetooth to Wahoo KickR v1. Connection for controllable power source all seems ok in device settings but watts reading as 0. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Reconnecting power sources tried everything and is still not working.

Yes, we are seeing this on iPhone. I was not testing old wahoo on iPhone sorry. Usually if it works in android it works on iPhone. We will fix ASAP. We don’t have iPhone in our automated tests but I can see we need that too.

Just finished a workout with Android 15-One UI 7.0, Samsung Galaxy S21+.

(Trainer - Wahoo Kickr Snap)

TD Version 7.6.0

Watts = 0

Erg mode is the only mode that will control the watts, but watts = 0 in HR, Erg, and Slope.

The last time the app reported watts was Sep. 19.

The next time I’ll be able to test the app will be Monday, Sep 29.

Also recording on a Coros Vertix watch and am getting correct watt’s shown on watch.
Coros workout data COROS Training Hub

The jitter in the power curve is me trying out the different modes, hoping to do an HR mode training session, but with zero watts it doesn’t work, so switched over to ERG mode at 132 watts for the rest of the duration.

To Reiterate, TD App in erg mode will control the trainer at the target watts, but app does not get the achieved watt output from trainer.

Sorry yes it seems old wahoo/hammer protocol on IOS has an issue. Not sure if that is what you have. Looks like android. We are working on new build now.

Yes, I should add, Wahoo Kickr Snap is my trainer.

Is there a method to roll back to a previous working build?

I have same issue w iPad and Wahoo kickr snap. Will be patient for a fix

The only way is I can invite you to be a beta user if you want. You have to install apple test flight. Sorry about that. Let me know

If anyone can go here and connect and pedal for 30 seconds and send me the file to support@trainerday.com to make 100% sure we fix it. We don’t have any kickrsnap raw recordings

https://trainerday.com/ble-testing.htm

I see you typing. Just sent you in invite  You can ignore it if you don’t want to do it. Should just take a few minutes to set up. In the app just select an older version rather than install the production one. 7.5.6

Hello, I am having this issue as well from Screenshot from phburns.

iPhone Xs Max IOS 18.6.2
TrainerDay app version 7.6.0

Tested a workout in Wahoo app and works fine.

Didn’t use the app for about a month and when came back yesterday began to see the issue at 11:42 AM Pacific

Just emailed a log file

Got it thanks!!!

Ok found the problem and have it fixed. Now just have to do a bit of testing and wait for Apples approval.

I’m assuming this includes speed play power pedals? They ended up connecting again after a previous update, but no power or cadence. My Kickr V5 worked without issue (after its usual warm up antics).

Yes, this affected older wahoos and traditional power meters on IOS

Please can you send me beta test link. I am on test flight. Th aka for speedily fixing this !
