My name is Morgan, I’ve been on the app since last December and everything seemed to work out just fine.
But it’s been a few weeks now that’s I’ve monitored offsets between the watts I’m actually producing and the target the ERG Mode should be making me hit.
Here is an exemple, you can see me hitting 161 watts instead of 147.
It’s constant. (Don’t mind the power hitting 300, it’s not a bug, it’s me being pissed at the bug).
Sometimes it’s going up and down, above the target, in certain patterns.
This offset is clearly having me out of my z2 quite a lot, which completely mess with my training.
I would love to find a solution about it but don’t know what to do.
I am using TrainerDay on an iPhone 15 pro in 18.3.1.
My HT is a Van Rysel D900.
The Bluetooth of my phone is connected to the HT and to my Apple Watch SE 1 to get my HR, nothing else.
Hi, thanks for your support. We don’t have control over this. We tell the trainer to hit 100w and we report back what the trainer tells us the watts are. The only exception is when someone has 2 power meters. Since no one else has this issue I really don’t think it is our app. If you have too big of gear your trainer might not be able to hit a low enough target but that seems less likely. Maybe your trainer has a way to calibrate it or do a spin down.
Thanks for your answer, and indeed, my trainer has a spin down (in the app of the HT, OnelapFit) that I’ve been doing right before today session.
So this features didn’t help.
Beside that I don’t have two power meters.
I’ll see if I can reset something somewhere, I’ll try installing another app to be check if the problems occurs too (even though I don’t think the problem is TrainerDay at all) and report back.
Quick update on today activity :
I only deleted and reinstalled both my HT app and TrainerDay.
Ive tried with an anaerobic exercise and it didn’t seem offset.
I’ll be cycling again with a TrainerJack exercise on Thursday.
I should also have a long slow drive session this weekend and see if it messes with my Z2.
I’ll report back one last time and hopefully everything is all good.
