[SOLVED] - URGENT... iOS App not working at all for created workouts

Hi Alex…

Major issue with the iOS app in that none of my created sessions are showing correctly in my list.
I cant do any of my sessions created by my coach…

Something has changed from last night as they worked fine then.

Could someone take a look as a matter of urgency?
They are showing correct on the web browser version but the app is showing blank screens. On my wife’s also… also on ios…

Help!!!

James

Hi James sorry. Are your workouts coming from TrainingPeaks? Or where. We do have a new version of our app but I don’t think this is related.

Hey Alex… they are created directly
within the Trainerday web app. When I create an app it is not showing up in the app correctly.

Oh, I believe I know what the problem is. Let me look. Is it in your calendar?

the attached images show what I created yesterday for tonights session… Then what the app is showing…

Ok so this session wasn’t in my calendar but now I have added it to today the workout is showing correctly… weird…

Here is the problem. We have a fix for this coming tomorrow. You have watts with decimal points. Just remove all the decimal points in the watts. You can actually copy and paste into excel and do it super fast or edit right in our editor.

Make the 95.9 96 instead.

Just do that for today’s workout and as I said, should be later today or tomorrow that a new version of our app will allow these decimal points and not show this. I believe you could also do the workout now in ERG mode it would just look strange.

Okidoke… I’ll do that now…

Just fyi the workout shows up correctly if I add it into my calendar for today…

But I’ll edit those out now.

Thanks Alex… You’ve saved me an awkward conversation…

Hey Alex…

So my 52min session I’ve just completed has seemingly disappeared and not saved… Is there any way to retrieve this from the phone???

This sucks massively…

Oh man, that sounds bad. How did it happen? Are you Android or IOS? We are testing now but if you open back up the app and you don’t see it in activities or as green continue then it seems it is gone. I just tested IOS and saving works normally from my perspective. I don’t see any way to lose a workout other than hitting discard the workout and then confirming.

Yes we can replicate this. Meaning the only way is to discard two times as far as we can tell.

Hey Alex…
Im pretty sure I hit save rather than discard and especially if you have to confirm the deletion. Definitely wouldn’t delete a 52min workout and I’ve done hundreds of sessions and never deleted one

Anyway its not the end of the world, not ideal but it is what it is. I’ll get Helen to do a quick test tomorrow eve before she does her session.

It was on iOS and yeah no sign of it… :frowning:

Ok sorry, we just can’t duplicate this. Yes it does not seem like something you would do without knowing it. When she tests make sure she records more than 1 minute and saves. We will keep trying to replicate this. My tester is on vacation until Monday.

Hey… no thats ok. Its a bit frustrating but we don’t know if it was me or not so thanks for checking.
I’ll report back tomorrow eve.

Thanks for the super speedy support Alex, really do appreciate your efforts. top stuff…

James

One more person just reported it. See other topic here.

Ah ok… maybe I’m not going crazy then

Your not crazy. We think this issue is some what similar to the issue you saw with the decimal point. We are adding an extra protective feature that all workouts are saved no matter what. Even if someone discards it.

Ok new version is available. It hopefully fixed this issue but also we added an emergency file download if there is is a problem saving during the workout.

Hey Alex… ah that’s great…
that’s 4.10.5 I guess?
We’ll take a look thisevening.

Do we need to still round out the powers to remove the decimal point?
