I am having trouble with Watts in all my workouts. For example, I have an ERG program for a post meal light workout. In ERG mode the Watts are set for a constant 90 for 15min. In the past that worked. Today when I start the workout the Watts go up to 150 and seem to stay there. The same thing happens in other workouts such as a Zone 2 workout by HR, the Watts start much higher than they did previously even significantly higher than my FTP. Is there some sort of problem with the program?
No one has mentioned any issues. You are talking about HR+ mode? Or ERG? What trainer do you have? It sounds like maybe another device or app is connecting to your trainer.
First, thank you for your response. My trainer is a Wahoo Kickr, and I am having problems in both the ERG and HR+ modes. The workout that I do in the HR mode is a Zone 2. So I plug in a Zone 2 HR, 124 BPM for 1 hour. In the past the watts would start low and then increase until my heart rate was reached then it would come down again keeping my HR constant. The ERG mode is simpler because the Watts do not jump around. In the example that I gave, usually it sits right at 90 for the entire 15 min. In this case it is bouncing in the 150s to 180s. I don’t have any other competing electronics in the garage. Any suggestions?
We have a setting to start HR+ at 20%, you could try that. So your saying no garmin/wahoo bike computers on… I have not heard of any one with an issue like this. Start the workout in ERG press down arrow and see if it starts it, let it go for 30 seconds then switch to HR+… Make sure in the device settings “Controllable” is selected.
I downloaded new firmware for my Kickr, and that seems to have fixed the problem. Thank you for your help.
Sweet, I know other companies always recommend that as a 1st step. I never do. I should learn to.
Am happy!! Love the platform.
