[SOLVED] - Wrong date on virtual training, with a map (it's local time but timezone of the location which might be in the future)

It would be nice if the locations of the virtual training were in the same time zone, or at least on the same date. I imported an activity from TrainerDay to Garmin Connect manually but I did my workout “the next day”. As a result, Garmin refused to import the activity and then Strava had the wrong date. Frustrating!

Hi,

I had similar issue between TrainerDay and Strava:

For me the problem was the wrongly set timezone in Strava. You can give it a try, maybe it solves the problem in strava.

Yes if you use our sync process it should work fine. No one reports any issues with this so don’t fully understand the problem. Screenshots might help.

It’s simple: I did my training on February 20. When I imported my activity (TCX file) into Garmin Connect, TrainerDay made me ride in another country (cool feature) in another time zone, so virtually, I trained on February 21. Garmin doesn’t accept the activity. I change the date in Garmin but then the “wrong date” carries over into Strava.

We are actually removing this map feature. It’s kind of a long discussion but I liked the idea too but it causes issues and confusion. We now are adding speed and distance to the app so the values would be different so we decided to just remove it. Yes the date/time is based on the time zone of the map. If you just turn off the map it should resolve your issue, since maps are going away anyway.
