The duration of a couple of my workouts is shown to 16 decimal places
which, some might say, is a bit more accuracy than is really needed!

Ok we pride ourselves in accuracy
… but decided to prioritize friendly over accuracy in this rare case and so this is back to it’s old boring whole numbers.
On a related and equally trivial topic that doesn’t need to feature anywhere near the top of the development list.
Why do my TD workouts lose a second when transferred to other platforms (specifically, in my case, intervals and TR)?
I transfer via dropbox to intervals and via .fit file upload to TR
e.g. A recent 1 hour workout on TD
Becomes 59’59” on intervals
and on TR
I have completed 158 TD rides in the last 12 months. One second per workout adds up to 2’38” - that’s a half decent VO2 interval!
Oh interesting. We fixed this previously but we just switched from decimal minutes to seconds so I would have assumed this no longer happened. We will check. This is actually important.
This should be fixed now.
OK. My next TD workout is Friday. I will report back.
Do you download from the Web or from the app? Can you send me the file? To support@trainerday.com.
I download from the website as a fit file, which is on its way to you by email right now.
Ok fixed, fixed. I just logged in as you. Re-downloaded and uploaded to intervals. The good part is my eFTP went way up and that is only your zone 2
Your Z2 is higher than my Z4!!! But I just bought a new frame for my MTB to make it more like a dirt jump so soon I will be shooting off those 2 meter jumps like my kids.

The jumps should deliver a pretty decent adrenaline rush!
I have a TD workout on the plan for tomorrow. I will update.
No that is Jonathan’s workout, I was testing. I can do an hour of power a solid 120w
outdoors…
2 out of 3 today. TD and TR = 1h30, but intervals = 1h29m59s
I emailed the file. This was a good workout - it might help your eFTP too ![]()
TD
TR

ETA I think this is to do with intervals being connected to TD through dropbox. That means it currently receives a tcx file. I download the fit file manually from TD and upload that to TR.
Oops, I see I took it out of context now. HR would seem kind of low now that I look at it too. I’m going to delete that dumb post.
Dave
Ahhh, so the same problem existed in TCX as FIT file. And TCX goes to dropbox and the way you sync to intervals. This should be fixed now. Let me know.
Is there a benefit to sending the massive tcx file to dropbox instead of the much smaller fit file?
I think your definition of massive file size is different than mine. I have many terabytes of data. And the simple answer is yes there’s a reason. A few of them but more legacy reasons at this point.
At this point, I’m just more nervous to change things, that can cause issues for people and consume more of our time, especially when it’s not causing problems.
intervals (via dropbox and via a fit file upload) is still showing 1 second less than TrainerDay and TrainerRoad (via a fit file upload)
emailed the fit file to you
The missing second still persists on intervals.
I also noticed another thing.
The workout is 1h and it shows as 1 hour in TrainerDay and in TrainerRoad (upload of the fit file).
For intervals, I have the tcx via the dropbox connection and also uploaded the fit file.
Both show the ride duration 59m59s.
The other thing I noticed is that Intervals recognises the tcx version workout as an outdoor ride (incorrect), and recognises the fit version as a virtual ride on a trainer (correct).
ETA, I have done a bit of googling and found some recommendations to change a couple of settings in intervals that might fix the issue. I will update again after tomorrow’s workout.
Strange. Will check try new fixes.
