There are other options beside power pedals but I find the pedals to be the most versatile. You can use them on any bike/device that has standard pedals. Once you get the hang of it, removing the pedals on your spin bike to mount them on your outdoor bike is easy and fast.

I’d have to check they were compatible - I’m assuming they have used standard fixtures but would need to double check. At the moment I use the toe clips and ordinary trainers.
Maybe there are some 2nd hand ones on Ebay I can consider at some point.
I don’t cycle outdoors so I don’t need to worry about that aspect.
