Tacx Vortex & Garmin 245 stopping connection with Pixel 6a

It should not be permissions but you should also check settings/apps/trainerday/permissions in android settings (enable all). We have devices that should be exactly like yours and we have a Pixel 6 and 7. Even the Tacx neo is just like yours (same protocols) and I have one.

I think I duplicated your issue possibly. I will fix my issue and hopefully it fixes yours.

I reviewed your logs and it’s strange it seems like it should connect. We did some enhancements to help it. We do see that this older trainer does not advertise it is controllable. So if we did fix the connect issue (should be coming tomorrow to beta version and next day to production). You can subscribe to beta if you want to try it earlier and then we can keep trying to fix faster if it does not work for some reason.

It looks like google is moving slow so it might be in production at the same time as beta this time. It’s a few steps

Then go to trainerday in the play store and you can join it.

Apple approves beta super fast. Google tends to do it the same speed as production. My guess is Tuesday but if we get lucky could be tomorrow.

Thank you, Alex. I still can’t connect, unfortunately. The app is finding the trainer but not connecting, just getting the khaki coloured box.

I have tried it with my wife’s Pixel 6 Pro and it will connect, so it is not the trainer. Suggests something has changed with my device, potentially.

You might want to try one uninstall/restart your phone/reinstall our app. It’s the combination of something cached within your phone, our app and your trainer. It makes it so hard to troubleshoot these issues when they are so specific like this. I just also had a problem connecting to my rower for example so there is some improvement we still need to do. I can connect to 10 other devices I have no problem.

There are still a few users that have an issue but it seems 98% of the issues are resolved. So I would do one more clear cache, clear data, re-install and see if it works… if not you need a new phone :slight_smile: One person got his working by pairing the trainer directly to the phone, which should not matter but it solved it.
