Hi, sorry, we have been focused on ERG mode so far and have not spent a lot of time looking at slope mode yet. We still have a couple devices that don’t work in ERG mode so solving those first. I believe ERG is fixed now for some older Wahoo devices, just waiting for final confirmation. Hopefully soon all final issues are resolved and it’s possible now your issue is solved in the lates but since we don’t own a Hammer device we can never be sure.
Soon things should be back to being stable. We want to stop touching BLE as soon as we resolve any final issues. I keep thinking this is the final release before that happens.
So generally since we don’t own a Hammer and specifically your hammer, we never know for sure. Fixing one device can break another one. The big companies own 50 trainers including old ones have 5+ testers. We don’t.
Resolvi instalar a versão 7.9.3, comecei o treino novamente, o smart trainer estava ok no modo Slope… mas o gráfico estava todo errado. Não sei o que aconteceu.
Oh yes sorry. The problem is we have had to do serious technology updates due to requirements from google (which also have to be done for ios because they are the same code). We had to re-write most of our app. So this is like starting at the beginning.
But I also see something very strange 0% -3%
This is going downhill. You won’t feel any resistance.
We have other Hammer customers that have not said anything but you are using slope mode so that is a smaller group of users.
So there is an idea of “unlocking” your trainer. If it is not unlocked than our app can not change any resistance including ERG. So the question is. Is your trainer not unlocked? Our app/code does the unlocking but maybe it is not actually unlocking your device.
Meaning nothing changes anything. ERG, SLOPE or RESIST none of them do anything? I believe most older Hammer trainers use the Wahoo protocol, and one older Wahoo device user has a problem too related to unlocking (my guess). So it might be related to unlocking. If so we are trying to improve this and maybe 8.1.4 will help
I understand. I am sure your trainer is fine. I am saying can you change ERG, SLOPE or RESIST when this problem occurs. If not then it is probably locked but I am not sure why this occurs.
I have specifically been working on this problem, Wahoo protocol not working for some people. So you are seeing changes in the beta related to this. You could try production version (uninstall beta) and install from app store. So beta version will see more changes as I am trying to fix this exact issue but different devices work differently.
So you started in slope mode, after 32 minutes the app lost control, and you pressed ERG and it did not work. What you should try is killing the app and restarting it (not re-install, just restart) and see if it fixes it. I know this is painful. Hopefully we figure it all out very soon. If this is too hard for you then production should be more stable. You also could try resistance mode instead of slope mode. It’s very similar.
We don’t have your trainer so we don’t know exactly what causes this issue. That is the problem. We have similar trainers that should work the same but ours work perfect and yours and 1 other users do not.
What I think happens is, it is not a version problem but a timing problem. If we don’t unlock your trainer at the right time your trainer has a problem. These older trainers are harder to get the timing right (this is my current theory). The big companies like TrainerRoad and Zwift own your trainer and have big testing teams so they can make sure every trainer works correctly. We have thousands of customers and only a couple are saying something. As I said other Hammer users are saying it works fine but they use ERG only.
Our goal is to make this 100% stable for all devices that support FTMS, OLD Wahoo and FEC, like it has been for ERG, Slope and Restance. Yours is OLD Wahoo protocol so we are working hard to make this perfect including slope mode. Hopefully soon.
