The Importance of Cross Training (video of a pro)

So here is a video and this pro rider explains that during the main season it’s a 100% focus on cycling but in the offseason to protect himself from injury he needs to do a bunch of cross training. So you can think if he is a serious fit athlete and he needs cross training, what about normal cyclists… It’s not necessarily for cycling performance other than the performance gained by reducing injury and longevity in the sport. Not sure if anyone finds this interesting but I liked the way he presented it.
