Can you help, today’s session got deleted when I deleted a duplicate. It was dual recorded, and I deleted the copy (Garmin FR965) but both that and the copy done through the mobile TrainerDay app disappeared
It shows in the activities on the mobile but not the web app.
How can I a get it back on the web app. Both copies are still on strava (until I resolve this), I tried syncing again but the didn’t work.
PS. Any plans to be able to rename the activities, they often sync as ‘morning run’ ‘ride’ etc. or before being named. It would be nice to see the runs on the calendar even if they hadn’t been added as a planned run.
Wow, hi…. I am always so excited to see original ERGdb users… I may have told you that before. It’s now undeleted. It actually looks like Strava is coming in not garmin we auto remove duplicates so really you should not have seen the strava unless it got to our page before the TD one did (we have a queue for both). We need to all your own undeletes. Right now our delete process is not fully done, we are in the middle of migrating database technologies.
Just in the last month or so we added sports other than cycling and we will be going deeper and deeper into running soon so yes we will add it to the calendar as we support running better, should not be too long. Anyway, I love that you care about your activity name in TrainerDay… We will add this rename feature too.
And on the details page you can edit the name. It won’t change it back in the mobile app yet. Only web at this point but I will fix sync so desktop/mobile get updated too.
Ha. Yes, I have been around the block more than a few times.
My yearly subscription renewed semi recently and it reminded me I hadnt used TD for a while. It was nice to see all the improvements you have made recenty (or since I last used TD.)
I got distracted by Marathon training for a while, then a couple of 70.3s and Sprint Tri. I played with using Biketerra for a bit and TPV.
TR is dead to me, probably forever after the AI update, I tried it for about 6-8 weeks. Every ‘workout’ was supra-threshold or VO2max, it had my FTP ~20w higher than it really was. All workouts ended up being a level/zone higher than the intention. Support said all was fine as I could get through 3x 9min at ftp, but as I pointed out it was really VO2 and my HR was max… not threshold at all and not possible to do on an ongoing basis. Anyway, sorry if this sounds a rant, I though some might be interested in my experince.
My first first ride back on TD was a pleasent experience, I was a bit concerned I might have problems pairing devices and trainer control but no issues. Assuming no issues in the coming days I’m back for good.
I forgot how good the workout player is, greats features, clean, simple, easy to use.
Yeah, TR have been very good marketers but the problem is their support obviously are not a cycling coach and have been trained to give a specific answer. We have a lot of new frustrated ex-TR-Ai users I have talked to via email. A new subscription stream for us. I am still not convinced of daily workout adjustments based on “AI” or rules. I have not figured out a way to make this work, other than simple stuff like I missed 2 weeks of training or I feel off today. But we have some such as @Ivegotabike that still finds it useful so seems to be a mix.
Anyway very happy to have you. Our goal is to become as stable as TR is then we know we will have a winner. We have just finished our last big round of app changes so hopefully we won’t cause any issues any time soon. Mostly it has been 1 specific device here or there but if that happens to be your device then it feels like it’s just broken.
