New to trainerday and have been using the iOS app on my MacBook (m4 running 15.7.3) and this app is so unstable. Was disappointed there is no dedicated desktop app but I installed and have been running the iOS app, but is so buggy. Crashes all of the time and just quits unexpectedly during a workout. Need to restart it often to get it to detect my Kickr.
Anyone else hitting the same issues. considering other options but I paid for a year.
I don’t think a lot of people use a Mac with our app and we don’t test it a lot so this is definitely a Mac problem and really as you know our our app is iOS so this is more of a Mac iOS problem than it is our app problem, but obviously if we could optimize our app for a Mac, we would just limited resources . We’re definitely Mac users, but use our the app on our phones.
A lot of this comes down to libraries that we use like Bluetooth libraries that aren’t as compatible with a Mac so it’s not really our code. It’s more than the libraries that are available. Again everything’s fixed it fixable with enough time and money.
I don’t really want to run it on my phone (small display) and I don’t have any use for a tablet and don’t own one. I guess the only solution would be screen mirroring.
What is interesting is I know many people use Mac with our app and have minimal or no issues so it’s likely a combination of your devices and mac+ios. I can try on my m2 ultra, never had issues with my m1. I have kickr too just different building.
