Trainerday keeps forgetting I have premium

When I load app.trainerday.com it knows I have premium. I can tell because there is no upgrade option in the menu.

If I click on connections, I can then click on connect to Strava and authorize it. When I’m redirected back, the connection doesn’t go through. Instead, trainerday forgets I have premium and I can no longer even try to connect.

I have a similar issue with Coach Jack. When I first load the page, the create new plan button doesn’t work. Nothing happens if I click it. If I reload the page, trainerday forgets I have premium again. This time when I click create new plan, I get a popup telling me I need to upgrade.

Then sometimes, seemingly randomly, both features actually work. It seems though, that any time it forgets I have premium, I again lose connection to Strava.

Strange, this seems to be some type of caching issue from your browser (is my guess). No one else has reported this so I don’t think it is a code bug.

Logging out and logging back in my solve it or CMD+R on mac or CTRL+F5 on pc should fix it also.

I should have mentioned I’m on Android. I tried it Firefox and Chrome. Both had the same issue.

I tried it on Firefox on Mac just now and it seemed to work fine.

I have experienced this issue several times. I’ll try logging out if it happens again.

Ok thanks for clarifying , we will see if we can replicate this on android.

Hi,
I’ve got the same problem. I bought premium via App Store (Apple). The App doesn’t know it. What can I do?

Thank you so much!

I will send you a PM

I am having the same issue and stuck in a loop. I am trying to create a training plan and it says I need premium. Click upgrade and then it notes I already have premium. I’m on a mac and have cleared the cache with no luck. Help appreciated.

Did you just upgrade? If so I would log out and log back in. I have rarely heard this issue. We solved his issue but I would need to check back. It was something simple in his case.

No. I’ve been a premium member for a while now but was just getting around to using a plan. I’ve logged off, cleared cache, tried a different browser, different devices, etc and same issue persists. Thanks for the quick reply!

Ok, I think my developer needs to check this. I think it might be some data issue. This week he is working minimally so might be next week but we will see.

Ok I just looked for some reason your account did not say premium. I have fixed it now. If you are subscribed through our app the simple solution is cancelling and subscribing via our website which is cheaper anyway. But we will figure this out soon too but you should be good now. Sorry about that.

That worked. Thanks much!

Hi @Alex, I have a similar problem where I bought premium through the iOS app, but the app doesn’t recognize it. I’ve logged out and back in several times. The web app shows I have the subscription. Can you help with this in any way? Thanks.

Sorry about that Peter. I upgraded your account. I have been waiting for my developer to get back from christmas vacation to fix this… a few more days. It’s strange it only affects a few people. I don’t understand it.

Awesome, thank you for the quick response!

Hi Alex, I am having the same issue. Purchased monthly subscription via Apple store, website works fine for me but I am listed as not a premium member in the app and cannot access my workouts. Can you fix this for me? Thanks.

Hi, strange. I see nothing wrong with your subscription. Might need to restart the app or press refresh inside the app.

Sorry about that. I needed to look one more place I realized and I just activated your account now.

Thanks Alex, the app works now! However I am unable to sync the last workout to Strava, despite pressing the Strava sync/refresh button on the Trainerday website as well.

You can just download it from our website and upload to strava or I could get my developer to tell me how to do it… We should improve this sync process to allow syncing recently completed workouts. Let me know.
