Your workout says 10 min warm-up, then 4 × 4 min at 115% with 3 easy between. Your music has no idea. That gap bugged me for years, so I built Beatpace, and the TrainerDay integration just went live (thanks Alex for the OK to post).
Connect TrainerDay and your planned workouts get built as continuous mixes. Rides and runs both. Each segment becomes a block with its own tempo: on a ride the beat follows your base RPM nudged per effort, on a run it matches your cadence in SPM. A 4-minute segment is a 4-minute block, not whatever song length happened to be close, and the tempo shifts land on the segment boundaries, so you hear the next interval start without looking at anything.
For indoor rides it plays in any browser, so whatever phone or laptop is already next to the trainer works, and the whole mix loads up front. Runs also have a native Garmin app if you’d rather leave the phone home.
Read-only connection. Nothing written back, nothing marked done.
Straight up: the music is original and made for this, built to hold exact tempos. It’s somewhere between a metronome and music, a tool, not your favorite track dropping mid-sprint. Connecting is free and builds your first workout so you can hear one of your own. Pro turns every upcoming workout into a mix automatically and keeps them in sync as your plan changes.
More detail, including what doesn’t translate: Beatpace for TrainerDay: your workouts as beat-locked music
What I’d like to know: whether the mix matches what the workout meant. The banding reads a few things from each workout and won’t always get yours right, steady ERG work and on/off intervals read differently. If one feels off, tell me which and I’ll dig in.
