Zwift Click support

I know this is an old thread but it would really be nice to run either the slope or resistance buttons with my click.

Their is this app bike control and my guess is with that and our desktop you could do it. But let me think more about this. I like this too and as more and more people have these clicks it becomes more and more likely we will do it.

I just ordered a cog/clicks (here on Tuesday). I realized this is good for me too and then we should be able to add this soon.

Zwift/Wahoo never released the technical information required to integrate the Click V2 controller device. They didn’t respond to any app developers that requested the information.

The Click device requires an encrypted handshake that it can only get from Zwift software connected to Zwift servers. This enables the device to work for a period of time ranging from days to sometimes a week or more. Otherwise it stops working after exactly 1 minute. Zwift deliberately engineered the device not to work with other non-Zwift services, although some partial workarounds exist.

It also works with Rouvy since Zwift acquired Rouvy. Before they were acquired, the Rouvy developers tried to reverse-engineer the encrypted protocol but failed and gave up. I suggest not wasting too much time on it.

BikeControl has a partial solution enabling the right-side controller.

More information here.

Oh yes so only right shifting. Still this is probably fine for just up/down erg/slope. Similar to have 2x on a real bike in most countries but not using the front detailer. I should have it soon. See how quickly I can test it. Seems like zwift could block the right controller too.

Just tested it. This is the same the guy above mentioned, he just linked to github  But this app works with lots of stuff, I don’t know what is unique about the SB200 implementation I guess I would have to read it

I would appreciate if you didn’t hijack this thread and use it to discuss a completely different piece of hardware/protocol.

@Triban I like it. You are a purist  @Ivegotabike sees ā€œopenbikeā€ and side tracks as he loves sharing new ideas.

But back on track I got my zwift click. Very busy the rest of this week, let’s see if next week I can try getting it working with the TD app. I mostly just want to see how the cog works but the idea of these buttons to adjust intensity seem nice.

Ok zwift click is working in the desktop. I made it so

  • the left minus (-) shifts down
  • B on the right hand device also shifts down (Since it seems the left one gets blocked)
  • + Shifts up
  • A changes modes
  • Y starts and stops
  • Z skips forward

After we make sure this all works I will add it to the mobile app soon.
