What is also funny: More complex trainings like Trainer Day - Workout: GA1 kurz are totally correct: Trainer Day
It really is only happening with long steady workouts without any changes.
That is great insight. That might point out the problem. We will keep researching.
Hi Alex,
Iāve previously posted about experiencing this issue myself. Iām still seeing it intermittently, but there is a āfixā thatās worked every time this issue has occurred for me.
I simply put the TrainerDay app into the background - no need to quit out of it and interrupt the workout - and when I bring it back to the foreground I see the time elapsed counter on the TrainerDay app speed up and catch up to the correct elapsed time for the workout (i.e. catches up with a workout timer that I have running on a separate device).
And once TrainerDayās timer catches up using the above approach, it no longer runs slowly.
This resolves the issue every time I see it - Iām seeing it probably every 2nd or 3rd long (2.5 hour long) TrainerDay ride Iām doing - but as this always resolves the issue, itās not a problem for me.
Hopefully the same āfixā might help others as well (on an iPad anyway). Simply put the TrainerDay app - if youāre using that - into the background and when you come back into it, the time issue resolves itself and the workout no longer runs slowly.
Hope that helps,
Giulio
Oh wow, thanks Giulio!!! This is great info.
We are hopeful this is fixed in new version releasing today or tomorrow.
Hi Alex,
Was that ever fixed? Today I was 90m into a workout and the app didnāt respond very well. I usually show the complete chart, but that was probably too much data to keep the app running smoothly. Each press on a button took several seconds until it was executed. After I was able to change the chart to 5min (was quite difficult if you donāt know when the app reacts), the app worked smoothly again.
Iām not sure exactly what changed recently. It was definitely fixed for a long time. It also seems to be worse if you are using our web view or have that turned on. Weāre investigating.
Hey, Iām not sure if thatās related but yesterday I was doing workout that was supposed to be 2h and the app/timer slowed down so after starting at 10:52 and quitting āearlierā at 13:00 the recorded time was 1h42m. I didnāt do any pauses mid ride.
Unfortunately I donāt know at which point the app/timer slowed down. I recorded 16s video capturing the app timer counted only 6s.
My setup is iPad 6th gen (hr and cadence sensor paired), Elite Suito T and also wahoo headwind paired to the same hr sensor.
Web browser view sync is disabled
We just created a new release that my tester said fixed his slowdowns. Not really sure what caused this. It might have just been some strange build. Hopefully itās fixed. You should see the new version in the next couple days. Doesnāt seem to affect my older iPhone 11 pro max, but still thereās something going on.
