Alex,
What is your take on the different Coach Jack build plan options?
Is your perspective to do the one that you like or do you suggest that certain plans are better for certain riders?
One thing I didn’t appreciate until recently is that the Progression style workouts (Threshold Progression, Sweet Spot A, and Sweet Spot B) the workout length is tied to how the workout is presented.
Specifically, what I mean is that if you set up a 60 minute workout it may have a truncated structure compared to what you would get from a 90 minute or 120 minute workout. A higher number workout could actually be easier than the lower number because repeats are cut out.
From a 20,000 foot level if your goal is to increase fatigue resistance/durability, quite the 2024-2025 buzzword huh, then you’d probably pitch increasing Z2 volume as the first lever and then tune the intervals to reflect what your expected “event” effort level is going to be?
My specific interest is fun 3-4 hour road rides over rolling terrain that aren’t competitive.
Regards
Dave
