Coach Jack + Vacation?

Just wondering, what’s the appropriate way to work around Coach Jack schedules and vacations?

Hi, I will try to respond to this tomorrow. Can you tell me more about your training plan in the mean time?

I’m just doing a crunched power training plan but thinking ahead of vacation/holidays. Would be pretty neat if it would adjust intensity/time.

Hi,

any news on this how to work with vacations and calendar. Is there a way to put vacation days to calender and it will shift/adjust jacks plan?

Let say I have a plan for both days on a weekend but I need to leave. How should work around that?

Thanks

Oh, sorry this feature is done (at least beta version). I thought it was on production already. Let me find out if it is possible we get this deployed soon.

Generally if your weekend includes your long days, those are the most important days to try to get in. If you push them to either side of the weekend that would be best. The problem is Jack is not going to handle this perfectly in this beta version. I would say skip any other workout you need to but not your long days (if possible). If you just miss (skip) one sequence of an interval workout for example you can progress to the next one without a problem.

I was looking for the Vacation feature as well, as it was in the newsletter… at least I know now that it isn’t yet online.

I have built a CJ plan and noticed the planned vacation days editor. I used it. So I’m not sure if this discussion precedes the feature or not at this point.

My question regarding this is there anyway for the CJ PLan to updated based on unexpected vacations/illnesses or time off? I assume as it is now, that the CJ would not change dynamically in response to an unexpected lay off. The user will just have to figure it out on his/her own how best to proceed. You miss a workout or two, no big deal, you miss a week or 2, well things get a lil more complicated depending on what phase of the plan you are in.

I guess this fits more into a feature request category. I realize this is probably one of those things that would be more dependent on AI in reality to adjust the plan.

The other work around I considered is just Building a new plan with the same target goal and date and see what it comes up with and go from there.

You can just go to calendar and at the top, click edit the plan and it will take you back to the original plan and you can just add more time off. Generally if you are not taking more that a week off then just continue and skip the days you did not do but if it starts getting to 2 weeks off then add them and it will be adjusted.
